Wanda Wegweiser is the president of Platinum Financial Group, a full service mortgage company in Boca Raton, Florida providing the best programs for residential and commercial financing. Her greatest strength may be in her ability to handle unanticipated situations with both a sense of compassion and composure. It was early in life when she felt that one day she would own her own business. After managing a family business in her teenage years it was destined one day she would be an entrepreneur.

Growing up in New York gave Wanda her sense of urgency. Manhattan gave her the foundation to the business world, but compassion for people is what makes her successful. After working years in residential leasing, she decided to move into the mortgage industry. An industry not yet saturated by part time mortgage originators. “I entered the mortgage business before any boom, before everybody and anybody who felt they could make a quick buck off of the speculative market. I entered the business for the purpose of helping people get into homes as I always did. But this time, I put them into homes they would own”. After 8 years of working for another mortgage company she partnered up with Dan Fernandez. “Partnering up with Wanda was an easy decision for me. “We both felt strong about the service we give our clients”.

Platinum Financial Group was opened right at the beginning stages of the downturn in the real estate market in south Florida and other areas of the U.S. “My friends thought I was crazy to invest in a business when things were only going to get worse before they get better. The difference between me and the other guy is, he closes files, and we make clients. My company is a referral based business. Referrals which come from satisfied clients. I do what’s right for my client. “Everyone thinks you should go after the $, but that’s a wrong mindset. Money should be the reward, not the goal itself”. When you run into Wanda you’ll know it. She’s the tall red head with the big smile and the energetic personality.

Wanda is a member of the Women’s Executive Group, Women for Excellence, Women’s Professional Network, and Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. She contributes to Kid’s in Distress, The Leukemia Foundation, and The St. Jude’s Hospital, and is the founder of the “The Pink Martini’s for the American Breast Cancer Society.

Integrity steers his motivation. It guides his decision making process and encompasses the strength of character he exhibits as a businessman. Platinum Financial Group opened its doors in 2005. It began with the vision of two people wanting to take the mortgage business to a new a level. A level of service that has not been matched anywhere.

Dan spent a lifetime serving others. After 25 years as a celebrated Texas chef and general manager, Dan has decided he was ready to leave pleasing palates to others and focus solely on filling financial platters.

Being third generation real estate investor, the mortgage industry was a natural for him. With his partner Wanda Wegweiser, they combined his teachings of the hospitality industry with their experience of the mortgage industry. “Service is the most important aspect of any business”.

Being able to help that first time homebuyer move into their dream home, or prevent a home from foreclosure. Dan often is called upon by Financial Planners, Estate planning Attorneys, Insurance Agents, and other professional associates seeking consultation in helping with their own clients needs. His knowledge in the commercial real estate arena has made him one of the most sought after brokers. His attitude towards taking care of the client has pushed him go outside his expertise just to meet the needs of the clients. “Once a loyal client of mine ask me to find him financing for a high speed boat, I couldn’t say no. and once I was referred by a CPA to get his client financing for an RV. Sometimes you have to go the extra mile.”

Since the inception date, Platinum Financial Group has grown with the additions of brokers and staff. Service guaranteed is the motto by all involved and will be as long as Dan is around. Dan is a proud father of twins and spends every available minute with them. When he’s not chauffeuring them to games or gymnastics, Dan spends his spare time with charitable organizations.
